Q1. How and when did you start your Entrepreneur Journey to serve in the Wedding industry? What inspired you to start your own business?

I always had a flair for baking. Post my baby, while I was a stay at home mom, I used to bake for friends and family which was much appreciated & encouraged. I then did a Professional Baking Course & started my business 15 years ago & there has been no looking back since then.

Q2. Kindly describe more about your business, your role, products/services.

With an experience that spans more than a decade,we play a very important role, providing various products & services  i.e.- wedding cake, hampers, invites etc.

Q3. Please share about the unique feature/specialty/USP of your Product/Service.

Possessing an immense passion for baking, I always keep myself updated with the latest trends & new techniques in baking. Our USP lies in exclusive wedding cakes & hampers.

Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role in a Wedding?

A baker plays a very important role in an Indian wedding. Be it from the roka ceremony to engagement day & finally to the big wedding day. Indian weddings are about gifting at every stage.

Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?

Many times during  monsoon season, cake delivery gets challenging with potholes and floods in Mumbai. There is a great threat of the cake getting damaged till it reaches the venue.

Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?

During monsoon, we prefer to assemble the cake at the venue itself to avoid any mishaps. We either do it personally or have one of our team members accompanied along with the delivery of the cake.

Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creations/experience for/of a wedding?

The most memorable wedding experience for me was when a friend's sister from Pune, had her daughter engaged with a groom from Mumbai. She insisted that all hampers be done by us as she always loved the stuff sent to her in Pune by her sister. She also insisted that the engagement cake be done by me and ordered the cake a day prior to the function. I couldn’t refuse as she was a dear friend's sister.  I worked all night making fondant flowers & assembling the cake. The cake turned out beautiful and was loved by all.

Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?

Collaboration with Wedding Planners & Event Managers would be my next target. I also want to explore the Corporate Gifting Industry.

Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?

Next 5 years, I want to master the art of making fine cakes & bakes. Be a renowned Celebrity Cake Artist. Make every Bride's special day more special for her.

Q10. What would you advise new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in the business?

For new entrepreneurs, just be patient. Keep the hard work going on with all positive energy. Always give your  best & God will soon show you the way.
