Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business?

I’ve had a passion for baking at a young age. The best dinner conversations are held over desserts! Cakes are at all special events in life and I love being apart of customers journeys and milestones.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

We, at That Cupcake Lady, specialize in floral designs for cakes and cupcakes. My passion for buttercream flowers stem from love of gardening.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

Learning to say no was one of the hardest struggles. I discovered early on that I can’t please everybody and be there for my family at the same time. My family is the most important to me so I had to learn time management pretty quickly.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

I learned a lot about who I wanted to be as a baker. Once I decided I didn’t have to take every order, I was able to learn about designs I could specialize in and spend more time perfecting them.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

One of the best  parts of being a baker is trying new trends. Once I was able to find where my passion was leading me, I could start to expand my horizons.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Right now I’m really enjoying the part-time work. In the future I Hope to be starting my journey to own a bed and breakfast with a cupcake bakery inside .

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

You need to find out what drives you. Are you in this for the money or are you in this for the passion? A passion is always going to grow more money with quality product versus if your main goal is to get rich and famous. Create relationships with customers and create a brand for yourself that you’re passionate about.
