Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?
I actually started my career in my childhood after seeing my mother from whom I learnt my dancing as I was very much inspired with her dance. I always liked to dance and to choreograph on different songs. I started teaching as a choreographer when I was in 12th standard.I also took Bharatanatyam training as a classical dancer for five years and then I took my six months of western dance training from a reputed Bollywood Dance Academy in Surat. It's been around 15 years of my dance career as a choreographer.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here. Also mention your USP if any.
Basically I am a Dance Teacher. My Brand name is Dance ka Tadka. I am also into events like Sangeet, Wedding as well as annual functions of schools and colleges and in Surat I am a well-known Garba trainers. Also I take regular batches for kids and ladies for their weight loss and regular dance classes.
Q3. What kind of
challenges did you face while starting/doing Business?
There are always few challenges in each profession. In a similar way I too got many competitors in my city Surat which made it difficult for me to collect my clients on a great scale.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery
period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
I discovered that in my city, people prefer more door step services rather than going to classes. Big classes are not required for achieving great clients.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery
Good service, best choreography and punctual timings from the choreographer
is the most prior thing a client always needs. Hence I started freelancing which made it easy for clients to do their work on their preferred time and also for me
as no big investment needed.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
Now my next five years I want to create a team where I can get all kind of dance styles it could be Aerobics, classical, free Bollywood, freestyle or even Street style dance, I want each and every trainer under me and also if I get a good team my future plan is to build up a new big class with my Brand name Dance Ka Tadka by Shikha Shah
Q7. How would you advise/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
Even if you are alone don’t fear just keep trying and trying. One day you will get that recognition of your entrepreneurship and also you will be achieving whatever you have thought. keep trying & keep working hard for it. Never stop. Difficulties are always there in each and every kind of work but solving the problems and moving ahead is the only solution so never give up
