Q1. How did your Entrepreneur journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

My journey started in reality from a passion. I first started planning events as a young member in an international non-political service organization for charity and I had great fun when I was 18 yrs. From there I learned the basics just by doing it, until years later I combined my passion for travel to the events side and the romance side as a destination wedding planner. As an entrepreneur I started doing this business 18 yrs ago, when I decided I had to follow my passion and not just work. Here I started as a destination planner for an American company and 6 month later I started my own.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

Monica Balli Events, Your Personal Dream Maker from Italy! We are a full service destination events provider, meaning that we scout and select with you the destination, the locations and then go into the planning of each and every detail such as design, decor, AV, timing, gifting, entertainment and so on. Upon your likes if working B2C or your clients likes if B2C. Our partners are hand picked, both national and international, and therefore able to give you the best on the market. If not there, we know how to create it, build it, simply bring it to life for you.

Q3. Please share about the unique feature/USP of your Product/Service.

We simply create out of the box events and experiences we would love to live ourselves. Our products are always tailor made, nothing is set, and the more you think and ask out of the box the more we love and enjoy it anywhere in the world.

Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role in a Wedding?

Our role is what I consider the pampering side, our job is listed and created, exceeding the clients wildest dreams and desires, making sure they enjoy the ride with us, as it's as important as the event itself in my opinion.

A client should work with a planner for 3 simple reasons:
1. We know the job and you enjoy just picking and choosing sipping champagne. 
2. Our job is to take away the hassle and enhance each and every detail
3. Our job is to be updated, creatiìve and the best to make it memorable and hassle free.

Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?

To be honest the challenges are normal routing for us as each event is so different as well as every bride. We love to tailor make and bring to life what is not there, so making it possible every time needs a bit of thought and work.

Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?

I take on challenges I can handle and that makes me grow and be Better. I love my teams, my teams are handpicked at every event upon the need of the job as I want around me the best of the best, better than me as I am not a believer in all doers, and all together we make it happen, each specialized in its own niche. I am their glue and their creative inspiration.

Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creations/experiences for/of a wedding?

One of the unique experiences I had was a wedding with 60 guests, where the bride and groom loved music, and I had to re-create a stage as well as an ambiance as the electronic zoo in New York for 2 Celebrity DJs playing in a very small place for just 60. Scaling a concert has been super fun!

Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?

I am a firm believer of networking and B2B healthy relations internationally, and this is where I have been working since the last 4 yrs. The cooperations I look for in the weddings and events field are B2B with Events planners and designers who are interested in destination Italy. 

India and the Indian market in general have high potential. I love the idea of synergies, of together we make it better , unique. The field weddings related in which I would like to scout synergies are: Destination Planners and Designers, International Media for Destination promotions and new emerging spots promos internationally, weddings and events education schools and universities for our international certification.

Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?

My future plans in events: do less and bigger even in B2B - as to have more fun.

Plus creating side businesses to my events business I can create my retirement working on a global certification legally valid for events professionals as well as working with innovation technology for events as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

In 5 years, the events business will grow stronger than ever, less inspections, more fun, more and higher product, more selection, carbon print and sustainable will be more and more important.

Q10. How would you advise/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business? 

Study, learn, network and repeat. The only way to be successful and be on top of the niche is being authentic, ethical, creative, innovative as well as empathic.
