Q1. How did your Entrepreneur journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

Back in 2013, I was employed as a Beverage Training Manager taking care of Alcohol Brand Training and Promotion but I was asked to resign from my job at the end of my pregnancy period. This incident impacted me a lot. I was about to leave the hospitality industry. But when my daughter turned one, I started conducting Cocktail and Mocktail workshops and hosting Beverage Training for individuals and small groups. I gained confidence to venture into something that I can do by myself and not rely on someone to pay me.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

I am a beverage trainer and consultant under my brand Daily Drink Gyan. 

Services that I offer under my brand:
1. I conduct bar and beverage trainings
2. Design cocktail and mocktail recipes for restaurants, bars, cafes, wedding events and house parties
3. Host cocktail workshops, wine and whisky tasting sessions for corporates.

Q3. Please share about the unique feature/USP of your Product/Service.

Daily Drink Gyan offers beverage menus which are curated as per clients requirement by using homemade syrups, unique glassware, attractive garnishes at affordable rates. Our bartenders are qualified and professional in the field of bartending.

Q4. What type of Products/Service do you cater for Weddings/Events/Occasions?

For weddings, bachelor parties or any pre wedding cocktail events we design cocktail/mocktail recipes as per bride's and groom's preferences. We create concepts that will go along with the wedding theme by selecting attractive glassware, carved ice and edible garnishes complimenting the drinks and matching with the décor. Our bartenders are professionals with an experience of handling a big number of wedding guests and cater to their beverage requests without compromising on the drinking experience.

Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?

Setting up a bar in an outdoor space is a challenge for us as we have to create a bar from scratch from an operational point of view which will help bartenders provide memorable experiences to the customer. In indoor spaces, a lot of facilities are available and handy to operate. Budget is another challenge. Clients come up with ideas and pictures from social media and they do not have the budget to execute those ideas. We try to offer the best possible option close enough to fulfil the clients expectations. 

Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?

We offer best possible creative menu ideas that will suit each client's preference and fit into their budget. We also give them a realistic view and make them understand the operational issues which will later spoil the drinking experience.

Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creations/experiences in your business?

We made a cocktail where we infused vetiver root (Khus ki jhad) in vodka and mixed it with home-made saffron syrup and this drink was served in a kullad (a small clay pot) with a garnish of spicy banana chips. This event was for my client's nephew. My client owns restaurants in Navi Mumbai. After seeing the response and expressions of all guests who were at the event my client asked me to include this drink in their restaurant menu.

Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?

Looking forward to curating mocktail/cocktail menus for wedding caterers which they can sell further to their customers and we work as a support team handling beverage requirements.

Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?

Create unique beverage concepts that bring focus on exotic ingredients which are healthy to consume and we can gradually transition from preserved syrup based drinks to homemade syrups with natural flavour in drinks which will enhance the drinking experience.

Be creative and create memorable experiences.
