Q1. How and when did you start your Entrepreneur Journey to serve into Wedding
industry? What did inspire you to start your own business?
I was a Bass Guitarist for 8 years before I jumped into the Wedding Industry.
In 2014, I stepped into DJing and Music Production. Prior to that, was working
in an MNC company but that did not give me peace. Wanted to do something
pertaining to entertainment and music in specific. Well, making people dance
and happy was something I enjoyed, and Hence, DJing & Music Production.
Q2. Kindly describe more about your business, your role, products/services.
I am a Professional Certified DJ & Music Producer from Chennai. The Official DJ of a very popular Indian professional football club based in Chennai. I also cater to Wedding Events such as
Mehendi, Sangeeth/Cocktail nights, Baraat Processions, Corporate Events, Social
Events, Club and Virtual DJ Event.
Q3. Please share about unique feature/specialty/USP of your Product/Service.
My USP is my trained Dhol team and Djembe team who play along with me for my
events. We create a vibe that you would never forget.
Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role into a Wedding?
On top of the list, I would say, without music, no wedding has ever taken
place. We play a Vital role in Weddings.
Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?
The challenge that I face would be communication. Well, having the right wavelength with the Client or Event Planner is very important to avoid any challenge such as timings of the event, flow of the event, entry song and much more on those lines. As a DJ, you should always get to know your colleagues well.
Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?
Getting on call with the Event Planner and asking them the plan of action is the best way to avoid any challenges. Knowing who is in charge of the Event and who is the Point Of Contact in the particular hotel as well. Usually, it's the Banquet Manager who we need to keep in touch with to have a smooth communication.
Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creation/experience for/of a
wedding?
There are many but talking about one particular, Baraat Processions with DJ Mobile
Van along with Dhol Team is super unique and has taken the market by storm.
Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?
I would love to collaborate with Events Planners around the globe and to play for
like-minded clients.
Q9. What is your vision for next five years?
To become Official DJ of the franchise cricket team based in Chennai and of course, to be DJ for the celebrities in the Bollywood/Kollywood Industry. Looking forward to Travel the world more and DJ for HNI clients.
Q10. What would you advise new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in
the business?
1) Learn the Basic 2) Consistency 3) Awareness 4) Being updated.
