Q1. How and when did you start your Entrepreneur Journey to serve into Wedding industry? What inspired you to start your own business?

After working in the retail industry for 13 years and being a homemaker for 6 years, I knew it was time to start my own business, and hence the journey began as an Entrepreneur. However, my journey to being a wedding planner happened very organically with my friend approaching me 3 years back to help her with her wedding arrangements, and from there it was never looking back.

Q2. Kindly describe more about your business, your role, products/services.

At Miral, we help our clients with 360-degree management from conceptualization to delivery. We curate bespoke memorable memories, starting from venue search, to themes and decor curation, artist management or entertainment, invites and also bridal shopping. We make sure our clients enjoy their day, leaving the work on us.

Q3. Please share about the unique feature/specialty/USP of your Product/Service.

Having started our journey with destination weddings, we have created a niche to cater to intimate weddings in your favorite destinations. We provide end to end service to all our clients and ensure we provide them the best of services, catering to their budget and needs.

Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role into a Wedding?

In today’s time, weddings are not as simple like before, people want to go all out and although as simple the theme they want, creativity is something everyone wants to see for their D day, hence, as a wedding planner we bring in our expertise and help the bride and groom make their celebration the best day of their life.

Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?

When you work in an industry where there are so many people involved to make a wedding happen, there are challenges every day. However, the challenge we face when it comes to weddings is Finding the right vendors. As we near the date of the events, everything starts coming all at once, if you have the right team only then can it be a smooth process.

Q6.  How do you deal with these challenges?

We have now got an understanding of who the best vendors are and who support us at challenging times, vendors who are committed to timely delivery, quality of work and work in our budget requirements are the ones we prefer working with.

Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creations/experience for/of a wedding?

One of our clients from USA, had to cancel her wedding in India due to unavoidable circumstances last year. However, this was the first time we were exposed to virtual weddings and while the marriage happened in USA, all her guests from India were a part of it. It was an experience we never thought would happen in the Indian wedding system.

Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?

I am looking to cater to eco-friendly or sustainable weddings in future, and I am currently learning the art of carrying such a wedding. People are definitely becoming environmentally conscious and young brides and grooms are wanting their weddings to go sustainable, so that’s something I am also looking to learn and make the best out of an eco-friendly wedding.

Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?

I would love to plan weddings across the world. There are such beautiful destinations, and I dream to be a planner for such weddings.

Also, I would love to give back to society by training those aspiring wedding planners, who cannot afford to dream big but have the talent to make it big.

Q10. What would you advise new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in the business?

Be determined and positive. Just because a goof up happened in an event or you are not getting the client who would understand your passion for this work, don’t undermine yourself or quit. Follow your dreams and it will come true one day. 3 P’s I strongly follow are patience, perseverance and passion.
